Each July 16th, faith becomes party to commemorate the day of Virgen del Carmen, invoked by the followers as Mother of mercy, hope and grace.
Q`llority festivity
Ocongate, Cusco
The pilgrimage to the shrine of the Lord of Ccoylloritti takes place every year in May or June (date is not accurate due to the Andean calendar, but this between these two months). The feast of the Lord of Ccoylloritti is one of the Catholic festivities fused with Andean, and this takes place on the Sinacara site.
Inti Raymi festivity
Sacsayhuaman, Cusco
Inca and Andean ceremony in honor of Inti (Father Sun), which is held every June 24 (winter solstice) in the Andes. The current descendants of the Inca civilization continue to make this tradition, now considered a religious ceremony.
Corpus Christi festivity
Cusco city
Catholic festival dating back to the viceregal period. Here the procession of 15 images of Saints and Virgins from the different parishes of Cusco is appreciated, to greet the Body of Christ. Massive celebration that takes place in Cusco`s main square.
