Arequipa is known as the ¨White City¨ because due to its use of ashlar in many of its buildings. This white stone like material comes from the Misti volcano, which can be viewed from most of the city. 

 

We will make our way through the main sights in Arequipa, including Santa Catalina convent, the Chilina and Yanahuara lookout points, as well as the Steel bridge and the Sabandia mill.

 

With a nice gastronomy too, here you can taste lots of dishes in which shrimp and rocotos stand out.

 

Is the second biggest city in Peru after Lima.
