SACRED CLIMBING PROYECT

It is a Waro Tours project whose objective is to improve the quality of life of minors in a state of poverty or abandonment of the different communities that inhabit the sacred valley of the Incas in the department of Cuzco, Peru, through Rock Climbing as a sport , integrating the population for the training of new athletes.

Children will develop psychomotor skills, teamwork, stress control and self-esteem. This will also provide the pillars for a climbing route in the area that will give work to the same communities.

In Waro Tours we have the guides trained to give the Basic, Advanced and Teaching courses. Our experiences have been provided in an 8 session module with 2 stages:

1.Training of Tutors (2 sessions in 1 month)

2.Training of Minors with Tutors (6 sessions in 3 months)

(These can be adapted and focused according to specific needs.)

From our location we have access to more than 15 routes and climbing routes to which we could provide support and leave fully implemented. For this, local governments provide support on issues of beneficiary identification and dissemination of events, but we want to expand our reach for that. We need:

- Climbing material (Ropes, harnesses for children, climbing shoes for children, helmets, carabiners etc.)

- Transport. Secure access of the communities to the rocks. Media (Vehicles). Own and / or rented. -

- General Logistic and Financial Support (per diem, materials update etc.)

Thanks for the help!
